Zoom Group and Individual Sessions:

“I am always amazed at how much looser and how spacious my body feels after a session. It doesn’t seem logical that with such small, soft, quiet movements so much space is created.

Not having a goal or a specific intention while moving (being) a certain way is very much different than my life approach. This idea is an immense opening for me.” – Jacqueline Rickard

“Igor’s online classes have helped me get in touch with my subtle system and more connected to my body in a new way.

As an athlete I had a different relationship with my body.  It was about strengthening, intense stretching and workouts, etc without realizing there’s another system as you taught in the online Feldenkrais classes.  Its been relaxing, effective and eye opening.  Besides developing a more physically meditative relationship with my body, I’ve learned how to listen to the movement of the body without stress or strain and to listen to the subtle signals you have been teaching.  It has also helped reduce and eliminate neck and shoulder tension.” – Jonathan Shorr

In Person Group Classes and Individual Sessions:

“I left the session feeling so much more relaxed in mind, body, and spirit!” -Rev. Chelsea MacMillan

“I walked into Igor’s workshop with chronic lower back pain, after a tough day at work. I walked out completely pain-free and 100% de-stressed. I remained pain-free for the next nine days.” -M Coleman

“Igor embodies the gentle, efficient, intelligent use of the body. He is a patient, caring, always available source helping to guide me in my pursuit of dance, movement and well-being.” –John Sowinski, former soloist, American Ballet Theatre

“I had a very nurturing and restful experience with Igor as well as found myself naturally learning more about my body by simply being present with him as he was present with his sensitive touch and awareness.” – Hilary Lake

“Working deftly with a series of minute manipulations, Igor helped me explore the full potential of movement in my body. I went running after my first session, and I noticed that my body had already recalibrated itself to make the act less strenuous on my joints. Instead of pounding on the pavement like usual, my body flowed effortlessly.” –Shoan Yin Cheung, graduate student, Cornell University

“I experienced the subtle work of Feldenkrais with Igor in the midst of a multi-day Contact Improvisation jam. The pace was steady, patient and I felt my body change in response to the touch and attention. Following the work I felt refreshed and deeply connected to movement of my spine and ribs. A wonderful experience!” – Karen Nelson, contact improv teacher

“Igor is an extremely thoughtful and sensitive practitioner. He has a philosophical approach that helped me to re-imagine and release old habits in my moving and find more ease in dancing and in everyday life.” –Jennifer Monson, choreographer, performer, dance teacher

Personal experiences with Feldenkrais, written by my students:

Tai Chi and The Feldenkrais Method Article by Ralph Strauch. that outlines connections between these two wonderful practices. I especially love the following quote: “No matter how long you observe a tangible object like a painting, no matter how much you learn by doing so, the observation does not change the painting. But movement is a self-correcting process, and simply becoming aware of how you move will itself improve your movement. Indeed, improvement may come faster and more easily if you don’t attempt to consciously direct it but allow it to happen by itself.”
